Entry is OPEN

During the history of the Eötvös Cup, until this year’s competition, players came from 60 countries on 5 continents. The renewed website of the Eötvös Cup would not have been possible without the support of the „Nagy Béla-program”!

WELCOME

Dear Sport Friends,
I warmly greet all those who come into contact with the Eötvös Cup. The competition started in Debrecen, it has always been the main center and this city is still the main venue. In the coat of arms of Debrecen, the phoenix symbolizes the renewal of the city from all disasters and destruction. The Eötvös Cup, like the phoenix bird, has survived after all disasters and destruction. During the Covid epidemic, the number of participants decreased, and the inside competition of Eötvös Cup canceled in 2020. The Russian-Ukrainian conflict didn’t do the competition any good either, many people came from these two huge countries in the previous years and many teams now canceled their participation due to the emergency situation due to the war. Economic uncertainties also kept several teams and sponsors away. In addition, the social base of the tournament has also decreased. Despite all this, like the phoenix bird, the Eötvös Cup has been renewed, clubs from far have returned.
I would like to thank all sympathizers and supporters who contributed so that we could organize the competition again this year, and a special thanks to the management of the DSZC Debrecen for their all-around help!
I hope that the visitors to the competition will take the good news of the DSZC Debrecen, Debrecen city, Hajdú-Bihar county and Hungary with them.
